Federal Way High School Class of 1995 – 30-Year Reunion Gathering

Hello, fellow Eagles of 1995!

It’s been awhile, and we know there’s lots going on in everyone’s lives, too. Some of our fellow classmates have organized a small 30-year reunion gathering coming up soon – October 18, 2025, at McMenamins Elks Temple in Tacoma, WA from 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM. We’ll meet up at the Spanish Bar inside McMenamins, but there are several other smaller restaurants and entertainment options within the building that you’re free to explore as well.

This gathering is free to attend, but food, drink, and entertainment costs will be up to you. Guests 21+ only, please.

The image below covers the details, so please pass them along to anyone who might be interested. You can also RSVP or ask questions by contacting Will Humphrey (see image for contact info), or via the Federal Way Class of 1995 Facebook Page.

We hope to see you there – be well, and Go Eagles!

FWHS Eagles – Class of 1995 25-Year Reunion?

Hello, fellow Federal Way Eagles from the Class of 1995!

Since some schools do have 25-year high school reunions, you may be wondering if our class will be doing one.

The short answer: As far as I know, no. There isn’t a formal gathering planned again until our 30-year reunion. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t put together a gathering on your own. If you plan to do so, feel free to reach out to the FWHS Class of 1995 on Facebook.

Thanks for checking in – if I hear anything different, I’ll be sure to update this post! Take care, all! -Jill

It’s Reunion Time!!!

Hello, all! It’s reunion time! Just going to mention a few things here (cross-posting from Facebook, for you non-FB users):

For Saturday:

(Need Directions?)

*Wear whatever you’d like – it’s not a formal event, so just come as you are, as long as you’re dressed.

*You can pay at the door, so if you haven’t bought tickets online, not a problem.

*You will be responsible for buying your own food and beverages at the Swiss.

*We’d like to remember and honor those classmates we’ve lost – if you have a nice picture of any you know of, please bring them.

For Sunday:

(Need Directions?)

*You don’t have to show up right away or stay for the entire picnic (10-3 p.m.), just drop by and say hello, let your kids play, catch some rays of sunshine, anything goes.

*We’ll make sure people can see where the picnic site is – it’s right in the middle of the park. If anyone wants to bring balloons to the site, go for it (kids love to play with them, if nothing else).

*It’s supposed to be HOT, so anyone who can bring extra ice and coolers to keep food safe, that would be awesome. If you have a picnic/camping canopy type thing you can bring, please do!!

*Basic BBQ staples will be provided (hamburgers, hot dogs, and fixings), but you can bring food that your kids will eat. You don’t have to bring food to share, but if you want to, that’s fine too!

*No alcohol is allowed at the picnic site (sorry, Parks Department rules).

Volunteers/Reunion Helpers:

Some of you had expressed interest in helping with the reunion. If there’s something you can bring either day, say, old pictures, yearbooks, or if you want to make signs, anything of the sort, let Will know ASAP so we know that’s covered. We will have name badges available you can wear Saturday.

Hanging around to clean up after the picnic would be the best way to help us out, so if you can, that’s great.

We’ll see you this weekend!

Updated Reunion Information – New Venue, Tickets Now Available

Hello again, Class of 1995! Please note that this post brings some changes to our original plans.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Reunion Chair, Michelle Akana (Soson), has had to step back from spearheading the reunion. Will Humphrey has taken on the planning role, and we came to a decision to change the venue and scale back from doing a fancier/pricier event this time. In doing so, ticket costs have dropped dramatically. We are hoping this will allow more people to come to one or both events. Please read on for the new information – the event dates are the same.

Evening Alumni Gathering – July 18th (New Venue)

Date: Saturday, July 18, 2015 (adults only, please)
Time: 5:00 – 11:30 p.m. (We will have the place to ourselves until doors open to the public at 7:00 p.m.)
Venue: The Swiss Restaurant & Pub – 1904 Jefferson Avenue Tacoma, WA 98402 (Find on Google Maps)
What to Wear: This is a pretty casual event; as long as you come clothed, wear whatever is comfortable for you for a restaurant outing or clubbing.
Tickets: $15 per person, $30 per couple. (Food and drinks will be available for purchase.) Tickets available for purchase online, or pay at the door. (Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted in person.)

The Spazmatics, and 80s and 90s cover band, will be performing live at 9:00 p.m. You are welcome to stay until The Swiss closes at 2:00 a.m.; along with the live entertainment, they have a gameroom with four pool tables, foosball, and other games.

Family BBQ Event – July 19th (Same Venue)

Date: Sunday, July 19, 2015 (all are welcome)
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Tickets: $10 per person, $20 per family. Tickets available for purchase online, or pay when you arrive at the park. (Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted in person.)

BBQ basics will be provided, but you may bring your own food and beverages. Note: Per the Federal Way Parks Department, no alcoholic beverages are allowed on-site.

The information from here on out is set in stone, so pass it on. If you’re planning to pay in-person and haven’t RSVP’d yet, please do so here so we can keep track of how many attendees to expect during the reunion (if you’ve changed your mind about attending/not attending, you may resubmit your RSVP as well). Invites were sent via E-mail to those who previously submitted their info on the RSVP page and expressed interest in attending. You can also share the info with your friends via the Eventbrite page. A list of those who have purchased tickets online appears on the page, in case you’re waiting to see who is planning to be there.

Reunion Planning Updates – March

Hello, all! Have a couple updates since the initial post:

Venue Booking/Headcount

We are moving forward with booking a venue (details will be announced sometime next week), but we need to make sure there’s a good early headcount for this potential location, so if you haven’t yet, send in your RSVP either on this site, and/or if you’re on Classmates.com, there’s an event page there where you can leave a yes/no/maybe response. This will also help us come up with a cost per ticket, so your responses are very important!

Classmates.com FWHS Class of 1995 Page (Note: For Classmates members only.)

We are hoping to have at least 150 attendees, including guests, but more would be even better! Please continue to spread the word to other former classmates and friends.

RSVP Form Update

Thank you to everyone who has responded so far! Since there’s been a few “maybes” coming in with the RSVP’s, the option to mark that on the form has been added. If you’re not sure about prior commitments, that’s okay, but please let us know once you know so we can add you to the attendee list (or not).

Keep checking the Facebook page, and if you have any questions or concerns, post them there so Reunion Chair Michelle Akana (Soson) can address them.

We look forward to seeing you all during Reunion Weekend!

Welcome, Class of 1995!

FWHS Crest

Hello, Fellow Eagles!

It’s Reunion time again…wow, time flies! Many people didn’t hear about the 10-year until after the fact, since modern-day social media was in its infancy at the time, and we apologize if you missed it. We are hoping to include everyone we can for our 20-year class reunion in 2015 (this year). With your help, we’ll get the word out to as many people as possible via social media, E-invites, etc.

Plans are for the Reunion Weekend to be July 18th-19th, 2015. This will include an evening gathering for 1995 classmates and their spouses/significant others, as well as a family barbecue the following day. As we gather more information during the planning phase (we’re open to suggestions), updates as to location, costs, etc., will be posted here and on the official class page on Facebook:

Step 1: Get in Touch!

Please provide your most current information via this page (also linked in the menu above) to help us get a headcount and so we can get in touch with all of you. If you’re interested in joining the Reunion Committee, let us know on the form so we can bring you aboard in the planning process.

Also, if you have any details on classmates serving overseas, former exchange students, or those who have passed away since graduation, post it over on the Facebook page so we can include and honor them as well. You’ll find a handful of pictures from the 10-year event on Facebook, too.

Step 2: Share this Information!

Pass this page on to anyone you know from the Class of 1995, and check back periodically for the latest updates and information. To easily reference this site in the future, typing http://tinyurl.com/FWHS1995 in your browser will bring you to this page.

Thanks so much – check back soon! 🙂 –Class of 1995 Reunion Committee
